Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about life and care at Royalty That Is Destined.
What is a residential care home?+
A residential care home is a smaller, home-like setting where seniors receive personal care, meals, and support in a warm family environment—often a more intimate alternative to large assisted living facilities.
Do you offer private rooms?+
Yes. We offer both private and semi-private rooms, each beautifully appointed for comfort, privacy, and dignity.
What services are included?+
Bathing, grooming, dressing, cooking, laundry, shopping, transportation, medication reminders, and daily living support are all included as non-medical care. Any clinical or skilled medical services are coordinated separately with your loved one's physician or home health provider.
Do you provide private care staffing?+
Yes. In addition to our residential care home, we offer professional private care staffing throughout Metro Detroit for families needing in-home support.
What areas do you serve?+
We proudly serve families throughout Macomb & Oakland Counties.
How can I schedule a tour?+
Call 313-585-0914 or use our contact form to schedule a private tour of our home.
Is medical care included?+
No. We are a non-medical residential care home. Our team provides personal care, medication reminders, mobility assistance, and daily living support, but we do not provide skilled nursing, wound care, injections, or other clinical services. Families coordinate medical care, prescriptions, and treatment plans directly with their loved one's physician, and we're happy to work alongside visiting home health agencies or hospice providers.
How do you handle medications?+
We provide medication reminders only — we do not prescribe, administer, or adjust any medications. Here's how the process works: (1) The resident's physician prescribes the medication and the pharmacy fills it, ideally in a labeled pill organizer or blister pack. (2) Our caregivers store medications safely and remind the resident at the scheduled time. (3) The resident self-administers their medication; if they need hands-on assistance, that is arranged through a licensed nurse or home health provider, not our staff. (4) We document that reminders were given and notify the family or physician if a dose is missed or refused. Any change in dosage, new prescription, or clinical concern is referred back to the prescribing doctor — we never make medical decisions on a resident's behalf.
What does the cost include?+
Our pricing is all-inclusive for non-medical care: room, three home-cooked meals plus snacks, daily personal care, housekeeping, laundry, and transportation to local appointments. Medical services billed by outside physicians, therapists, or home health agencies are separate.
Can family visit anytime?+
Yes. Family is always welcome and visits are encouraged. We help coordinate special celebrations and gatherings.
Do you accept residents with dementia?+
Many of our residents are living with dementia or memory challenges. Our caregivers are trained to provide patient, compassionate non-medical support, while clinical needs are managed by the resident's physician or care team.
